Australian Mark III Survival KitThis interesting little purpose-made survival kit knife was styled after the Aboriginal "leilera," which was a stone or shell knife. Because it was a chisel grind (for easier sharpening in the field), it had to be double edged to accommodate both right and left hand users. This made it less ill-suited for skinning and because of the double edge, users had to be more careful in handling to avoid injury. |
