1. To treat a broken leg, first dress any puncture wounds. Put padding between both legs.2. Immobilize the broken leg by binding the good leg to it. Tie the knots on the good leg. Wrap a figure-of-eight bandage around the feet and ankles to support them.
3. To move the victim, make a stretcher by pushing two strong branches through the sleeves of jackets with their zippers and buttons done up.
4. Test the stretcher to ensure that it is strong enough to hold a body, then carefully roll the victim onto his side and push the stretcher underneath him.
1. You can splint a broken arm with a piece of bark or wood to protect it from further damage.2. Gently ease a triangular bandage behind the injured arm. If the arm is broken near the elbow, it may be too painful to bend. In this case, bandage the arm to the upper body, which will act as a splint.
3. Bring the bandage up over the injured arm and tie its ends together so that the knot rests on the uninjured shoulder.
4. Bring the bottom corner of the bandage around the elbow and pin it in place. Gently lift the arm off the chest and place padding behind it. You may also want to place padding under the sling where it goes around the victim's neck, to prevent it from chafing.
